A 14-year-old boy faces a firearm charge after he allegedly aimed a cap gun at a passing police car and pulled the trigger.
The incident happened just after 7 p.m. on January 9, 2026. Officers were driving along Chambers Avenue when they saw a teen point what looked like a real gun at their car. He pulled the trigger several times, which caused flashes and audible bangs.
Police arrested the teen and searched him. They found a revolver-style cap gun and cannabis vapes.
Along with the charge for pointing a firearm, the boy faces charges for having and using cannabis while under 19. He was released and has a court date set for March 10.
