A 19-year-old man faces weapons and threat charges after he allegedly chased a car on a snowmobile and terrorized the people inside early Thursday morning.
The incident began shortly after 1 a.m. on January 15. A driver called police to report that a man on a snowmobile was following their car and threatening everyone inside. The group recognized the man and gave police his name and a description. They also said he seemed drunk.
St. Anthony RCMP found the man at his house a short time later and arrested him. During a search, officers found a knife.
While the man’s breath test results were below the legal limit, he still broke the specific conditions of his driver’s license. Because of this, police suspended his license.
The man faces four counts of making threats and one count of carrying a weapon for a dangerous reason. He was released on the condition that he appear in court in April.
